Alison Krauss는 현재 미국 컨츄리 가수중에서
최상의 위치에 오른 몇 안되는 가수 중 한 명입니다.
그녀는 올드 팬에게
익숙한 에밀루 해리스(Emmylou Harris)와 함께 컨츄리계에서
블루그래스(Bluegrass) 계열로 분류되기도하는데,
10대에 데뷔하여 1995년 Baby, Now That I've Found You라는
곡으로 대중들로부터 주목받았습니다

전반적으로 소박하고 깨끗한 목소리를 가진 그녀는
전형적인 미국의 목소리를 대변하고 있다고 하겠으며,
컨츄리계에 불고있는 크로스오버나 팝적인 요소도 적지만
전형적인 컨츄리음악만을 추구하면서도

남부의 대표적 음악 장르인 컨트리 즉 Bluegrass는
컨트리의 일종으로 1940년대 중반 켄터키 지방을 중심으로

시도로 정의될 수 있는데 빠르고 하드한 음악적 테크닉과

적극적인 사용등이 그 특징입니다.
블루그래스란 말을 만들어낸 빌 먼로(Bill Monroe)가
대표적인 블루그래스 뮤지션이라고 할 수 있지요.

알리슨 크라우스(Alison Krauss)는
미국 컨트리계에서 커다란 인기를 누리고 있는

했다는게 특이한 작품입니다.
언제 만들어진 곡인지 확인이 되지를 않는데 Yoyo Ma의 모습을
보니 한 10년전쯤 만들어진것이 아닌가...?
